About The Artist

Pauline Margarone born and raised in South Boston, returned home in December 2001 after living on Nantucket Island for twenty years and Berkeley CA for five. A self-taught photographer, Pauline bought her first camera, a Kodak Brownie with her baby sitting money, when she was twelve. She progressed to a 35 millimeter camera and then to SLR camera's and now Digital. Pauline feels that digital photography is the medium she has been waiting for. She has taught a photography class for the children of the Young at Arts Program in South Boston. A member of the South Boston Art's Association since her return, she has had a number of photographs published in the South Boston Literary Gazette. In 2005 she was given the opportunity to set up and manage Gallery SBAA for the South Boston Artist Association. Unfortunately the Gallery was closed in August 2008. Pauline was elected President of the The South Boston Art's Association in 2008 She currently has self published "My Walk Around Castle Island," 35 pages of wonderful photograph's of the Island.
